I have come across a few basketball holders over theyears. The 'ShotLoc' is a rather simple-to-use shooting aid-- it is also phenomenally effective. To be honest, Iwasn't sure about this product when I received it.There are a lot of 'aids' out there that don't really doanything; not so with the ShotLoc. I personallytested the ShotLoc myself and instantly found thevalue in it.At the same time I received the ShotLoc, I had beenworking with a player during preseason workouts(shooting, speed, conditioning, etc). One problemwe were trying to overcome was that the basketballkept resting on the palm during the shot. As you know, this is not an effective or efficient way to shoot the basketball ... it becomes more of a push rather than a shot. The ShotLoc did a great job of training the shooter to keep the ball off the palm. With the ShotLoc, each time you shoot, the ball is automatically kept off of the palm. The ShotLoc forces you to keep the ball where it is supposed to be -- training you to shoot the right way! Once you've learned the proper shooting mechanics and the ShotLoc comes off, the hand and muscle memory all now know how to shoot! The ShotLoc really does a great job in this regard.
The ShotLoc will not only help in the mechanics of shooting, but also in the fundamentals of dribbling and ball handling. For players that have problems dribbling with their palms, the ShotLoc ensures that the basketball is dribbled with only the fingertips and pads of the hand.
